The Vizier project

The aim of the VIZIER project is to perform ground-breaking impact on the identification of potential new drug targets against RNA viruses through comprehensive structural characterization of the replicative machinery of a carefully selected yet diverse set of viruses.

Poliomyelitis in Nigeria and West Africa

From 2003 to 2007, type 1 polio originating in northern Nigeria spread to cause outbreaks in 20 previously polio-free countries,including across west Africa, the Horn of Africa, and as far away as Indonesia and Yemen (source: WHO).

Report on the VIZIER Scientific and Industrial conference

The 1st Scientific and Industrial VIZIER Meeting gathered 140 participants from 13 countries, 40 academic institutions, and 18 companies. This day was rich in meeting and exchange opportunities in addition to the formal presentations (see the final program). Given the success of this original event, a second Congress is planned during the Fall 2008.
